ABOUT
Harrogate Spa Society brings people together around the continuing life of Harrogate as a spa town.
Rooted in its waters, landscapes and culture, the Society works across the town to nurture what Harrogate has inherited and shape what its spa tradition might become next.
Harrogate’s spa identity belongs not only to its buildings or its history. It lives through the relationship between water, nature, movement, rest, nourishment, culture and human connection.
The Society brings these elements into conversation across the town. It creates space for shared thinking, new relationships and a longer view of Harrogate’s future, grounded in the distinctive qualities that have shaped the place for more than four centuries.
Founded in 2026 by Harrogate-based designer George Eglese, the Society is growing through collaboration with people and organisations in Harrogate and beyond.
